Inscrições prorrogadas até dia 22 de abril
As inscrições para a 6ª Edição do Prêmio MapBiomas foram prorrogadas até o dia 22 de abril (segunda-feira). Em parceria com o Instituto Ciência Hoje, o prêmio visa estimular aplicações e trabalhos que utilizem dados de qualquer módulo ou iniciativa MapBiomas, incluindo iniciativas de outros países, e de diferentes produtos, como o MapBiomas Alerta, MapBiomas Fogo, MapBiomas Água, MapBiomas Solo.
The projects can compete in 6 categories: General, Youth, Outstanding Applications in Public Policies, Outstanding Applications in Business, Applications in Schools, and Actions against Deforestation.
MapBiomas will award 8 (eight) projects that explore the use and applications of data from any initiative, module, and products of MapBiomas, totaling R$ 80,000 in prizes. To learn more about the initiatives, please visit: brasil.mapbiomas.org/iniciativas-mapbiomas..
Each awarded project will also receive an annual subscription to the Digital Science Today Magazine, along with a scholarship to attend a course on Satellite Image Geoprocessing using Google Earth Engine, offered by Solved, and the production of a short video (up to 2 minutes) about the winning project.

Apenas trabalhos cujo autor(a) tenha até 30 anos e ainda não completou a graduação ou se graduou ao longo de 2023. -

Papers that use data from any MapBiomas initiative in businesses that contribute to the conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. -
Papers that use data from any MapBiomas initiative to support actions to reduce, combat and monitor deforestation.
Works that use data from any MapBiomas initiative in basic education (kindergarten, elementary or high school), such as, for example, in teaching materials, classes and other curricular and extracurricular activities or teaching resources in schools.
