Important: It should be noted that the statistics calculated by the maps:

• The area presented in the tables is calculated in Google Earth Engine using the function ee.Image.pixelArea()
• The Area Calculation  code allows the generation of statistics for any land area saved as an “asset” do Google Earth Engine.
• The shapefiles used for generating the statistics are available for download in the “Layers“.
• Until Collection 4.0, the biome boundaries were adapted by the project from the original IBGE scale of 1:5,000,000 to 1:1,000,000 using the 1:250,000 territorial boundaries maps of Brazil (IBGE) and the 1:1,000,000 phytophysiognomy maps, also from IBGE. Since Collection 4.1, the IBGE biome boundaries at a scale of 1:250,000 have been adopted.
