To make this work possible, we are building a <strong>database of gullies <\/strong>in the country from any year and any location. These records can range from a single point indicating a gully's position to the complete delimitation of the eroded area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">We rely on the <strong>the collaboration of partners willing to share their data<\/strong> and support the development of this initiative of great national importance. All received data will be organized and made available for reuse in the <a href=\"https:\/\/soildata.mapbiomas.org\/dataverse\/erosao\"><strong>SoilData repository<\/strong>,<\/a> a free and collaborative online platform that gathers field and laboratory research data and results regarding Brazilian soils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, gully data can be shared in two ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><strong>By email<\/strong>: Send your database to contato@mapbiomas.org, preferably in a georeferenced format or containing geographic coordinates and the year of collection.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Directly via the SoilData repository<\/strong>To do this, access the <a href=\"https:\/\/soildata.mapbiomas.org\/loginpage.xhtml;jsessionid=8c971479d3bb677f7e8b7807d0e5?redirectPage=%2Fdataverse_homepage.xhtml\">SoilData<\/a>, create an account (<em>sign up<\/em>), register the metadata, upload your files, define the terms of use, and submit the data for review. Consult the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/u\/1\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vTgsQnJJ8Q6LfHQXXX9TapszThH_E7KC8vub0MQ-Th3JTMFydKNl7jQW3le6iBWNh71xNtxHqj-bcrV\/pub\">user guide<\/a> to learn more.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of the submission method, all data will be available on SoilData under terms of use defined by the data authors, and each dataset will receive a <strong>DOI<\/strong> to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
