For the 5th consecutive year, MapBiomas Alerta is publishing an x-ray of deforestation in all Brazilian biomes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 29, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Annual Report on Deforestation in Brazil (RAD) 2023 has been launched on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. What's new this year is that the event will take place in person, in Brasilia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RAD is an x-ray of deforestation in Brazil in different territorial and land areas. It also assesses signs of illegality, the main drivers of deforestation and the actions taken by federal and state public bodies to control and reduce deforestation in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the 5th consecutive year that RAD has been launched by MapBiomas Alerta. From the launch, the report will be available at https:\/\/alerta.mapbiomas.org\/relatorio<\/a>. You can find the reports for previous years at the same link. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
