The Infrastructure module in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/plataforma.brasil.mapbiomas.org\/cobertura?activeBaseMap=9&amp;layersOpacity=100&amp;activeModule=coverage&amp;activeModuleContent=coverage%3Acoverage_main&amp;activeYear=2021&amp;mapPosition=-15.114553%2C-51.459961%2C4&amp;timelineLimitsRange=1985%2C2021&amp;baseParams[territoryType]=1&amp;baseParams[territories]=1%3BBrasil%3B1%3BPa%C3%ADs%3B0%3B0%3B0%3B0&amp;baseParams[activeClassTreeOptionValue]=default&amp;baseParams[activeClassTreeNodeIds]=1%2C7%2C8%2C9%2C10%2C2%2C11%2C12%2C13%2C14%2C15%2C16%2C3%2C17%2C18%2C27%2C37%2C38%2C39%2C40%2C41%2C28%2C42%2C43%2C44%2C19%2C20%2C4%2C21%2C22%2C23%2C24%2C5%2C25%2C26%2C6&amp;baseParams[activeSubmodule]=coverage_main\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">platform<\/a>&nbsp;has been updated, and in addition to energy, transportation and mining data, the module now provides layers on silos, refrigerators and telecommunications antennas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main changes in Collection 7.1 are adjustments to the 2021 mapping in the Amazon and Cerrado, as well as the revision of the classification of soybeans in RS and SC, which was overestimated, and the classification of natural fields south of S\u00e3o Luiz\/MA, which due to the drought had been wrongly classified as pasture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"Collection 8, which will be launched at the end of August 2023, includes the 2022 mapping, improvements or greater detail in the mapping, as a result of the methodological advances of the MapBiomas network. Collection 7.1 maintains the same characteristics as Collection 7, with occasional adjustments to problems identified by the network teams or reported by users,\" says Marcos Rosa, technical coordinator of the MapBiomas project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MapBiomas Collection 7, launched in August last year, brings annual maps and data on the dynamics of 27 land cover and land use classes in Brazil from 1985 to 2021 and also includes modules containing data on the annual evolution of deforestation, secondary vegetation, irrigation, mining and pasture quality. The platform includes a 3D visualization module projected onto the relief and tools for temporal analysis of the data, which allow for a more detailed and in-depth exploration of the transformations taking place in Brazilian territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About MapBiomas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MapBiomas is a collaborative network, formed by NGOs, universities and technology companies, that reveals the transformations of the Brazilian territory, through science, making knowledge about land use accessible, in order to seek conservation and combat changes climate.
